About TBC Forestry Contracts
From Professional Motocross to Professional Forestry
TBC Forestry Contracts was founded by John Adamson, a former professional motocross racer with seven years of experience competing at the highest levels of the sport.
Throughout his racing career, John competed in World Championship events across Europe and travelled to America to compete in rounds of the US National Motocross Championship.
After a successful international racing career, John brought the same discipline, determination, precision and attention to detail into tree surgery, forestry and land management.
Today, TBC Forestry Contracts provides professional tree removal, crown reductions, vegetation clearance and woodland management for domestic, commercial and estate clients.
Our approach is simple: work safely, communicate clearly and deliver a professional finish on every job.
Our Work
From Overgrown Wasteland to Supercross Track
This was a project particularly close to our hearts, combining our passion for motocross with our experience in land clearance and groundworks.
Working on a friend’s property in Kent, we transformed an overgrown, unused piece of land into the foundations of a purpose-built supercross track.
The project involved clearing years of dense vegetation, removing an established tree line, and using excavation equipment to clear, level and reshape the ground.
What started as an overgrown and unusable area was transformed into a space ready for supercross track development.
A rewarding project that brought together two of our biggest passions: motocross and forestry.
Pruning and crown reduction - copper beech tree
Pruning – Copper Beech Tree
This project involved pruning and tidying a magnificent copper beech tree standing over 20 metres tall.
The aim was to improve the tree’s overall appearance while preserving its beautiful natural shape and character.
We carefully pruned selected branches, removed unwanted growth and tidied the canopy to create a more balanced appearance.
The finished result was a spectacular-looking tree that retained its natural beauty while looking considerably neater and better maintained.
Services provided: Tree pruning, selective branch removal and canopy maintenance.
Tree Felling – Ash Tree Removal, Beith, Scotland
We were contacted by the owner of a local gym in Beith, Scotland, who was concerned about a declining ash tree situated close to the building.
As the tree’s condition continued to deteriorate, the owner was worried about the potential risk of damage to the property. Falling leaves were also regularly blocking the building’s gutters, creating an ongoing maintenance problem.
The work involved safely felling the tree, processing the branches through our wood chipper, and removing all resulting waste from the site.
The completed work eliminated the concerns associated with the declining tree and left the surrounding area clean and tidy.
Services provided: Tree felling, tree removal, wood chipping and green waste removal.
